World Vision India (WVI), Chhimtuipui Area Development Programme and Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) jointly organised an advocacy on HIV/AIDS amongst community leaders at LIKBK Assembly House, Chandmary, Lawngtlai today.

Pi Lalchhanhimi, CDF (WVI) chaired the function. District AIDS Nodal Officer (DANO) Dr S. Thaizi spoke on motive of the programme while HIV Activist Pi Lalchhuanzuali, Aizawl gave an advocacy on HIV/AIDS. A session of question and answer was also there. 

The programmme was attended by VC, YLA, LWA and MHIP representatives within Lawngtlai town. HIV/AIDS Committee was formed and HIV blood screening was done for the participants.

During September 2016 to September 2019, 128 numbers of HIV positive have been detected through screening in Lawngtlai District.
