73rd REBUPLIC DAY CELEBRATED IN KOLASIB

Aizawl 26th January 2022: The 73rd Republic Day of India was celebrated at Kolasib with a short programme at the DC Office Lawn with Dr.H.Lalthlangliana, Deputy Commissioner unfurling the National Flag 8:00 AM this morning.

The Republic Day function was attended by only few invited representatives from District Govt. Offices and NGOs leaders of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner in his Republic Day speech mentioned the various provisions of the Indian Constitution, highlighting the importance of democratic machinery, Directive Principles of State Policy and the duties to be carried by a responsible citizen of India. He also pointed out the need to uphold strict discipline in regards to following Covid Appropriate Behaviour as it is being observed that Covid-19 cases are once more on the rise in the state.
