Aizawl, the 15th May 2020 : 884 stranded travellers, students, workers and families who reported to return to Mizoram from the southern state of Tamil Nadu and the UT of Puducherry reached Bairabi, the state’s only railhead today by a special Shramik train.
On arrival, all the passengers were screened by the Medical Team and transported by 53 buses to their respective designated institutional quarantine facilities in the Districts. All of them will be administered Rapid Antibody Test upon reaching the quarantine facilities where they will be kept for 14 days. 54 passengers who came from Hot Zones were taken separately and administered the RAT immediately. 31 results which came in till the filing of this report all tested negative.
The stranded people are expected to reach their destinations late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
