Mamit 29th September, 2020 : Last night around 11:00 pm Border Security Force (BSF) of 90th Bn confiscated 28 - AK 47 Rifles, 1-AK 56 Rifles and 1 - Rifle near Phuldungsei Village which borders with Bangladesh. A case has been registered under arms act 1959 with Marpara Police Station.

Mr. Sunil Kumar IG, BSF had a press briefing in SP Office Mamit regarding the process of the possession of this arms and ammunitions in which he stated that the Arms consignment had its origin in Myanmar and the destination of this smuggled arms are yet to be determined through the upcoming interrogation of the withheld accused three persons who were supposedly involve in this arms smuggling.

IG, BSF thank and reiterated their sources of intelligence and local support which enabled them to capture this smuggled items. IG BSF was accompanied by SP Mamit, DIG from BSF and Addl, SP Mamit.
