Aizawl, the 16th April 2021: Maj Gen SS Deusi, VSM, ADG Assam Rifles visited HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles and Aizawl Bn, Mizoram on 15th April, 2021.

On his arrival, Sector Cdr Brig Digvijay Singh, SM briefed ADG on the ongoing scenario with Myanmar. Later on, Maj Gen SS Deusi, VSM, ADG Assam Rifles visited 46 Assam Rifles, Aizawl Batallion(Bn), where he was given guard of honour at the Quarter Guard and was briefed about the historical affinity of the Quarter Guard, constructed in year 1896 by Lt Col G H Loch. He had then proceeded to visit the Bn Motivation Hall where he was again briefed by Bn Second in Command regarding the Bn history and the places where the Bn had served while keeping “Naam Namak Nishan, at the utmost priority.

Further, ADG paid visit to Loch House named “MANDING SAAB BANGLA” the eratwhile residence of Lt Col G H Loch, constructed in 1892, which is presently the Aizawl Bn Commandant residence where he relived the history and cherished the present status of the same.
