Aizawl, the 13th October, 2021: A virtual meeting of Champhai District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC/DISHA) was conducted yesterday at NIC, DC Office Champhai. It was held under the Chairmanship of Pu C. Lalrosanga, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, the meeting reviewed and monitored the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) undertaken by various line departments. It was also attended by Co-Chairman Pu K. Vanlalvena, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Pu T.J. Lalnuntluanga MLA, Champhai South A/C, Pu Ramthanmawia MLA, East Tuipui A/C, Dr. Z.R Thiamsanga MLA, Champhai North A/C, Addl. DC Pu Henry C.Lalrawnkima, PD DRDA Pu R.Lalnghakliana, among others.

District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Champhai, under MGNREGA 2021-2022 financial year provided 61 days employment to 17,503 job card holders till September. Under PMAY-G (Rural Housing Scheme), 165 beneficiaries were selected of which 146 have completed the project. Under Jal Jeevan Mission (JMM), 7 ongoing water supply schemes are under the pipeline. Under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) / Har Khet Ko Pani Scheme, 4 Ground Water Irrigation Schemes have been implemented.

Under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) there are 1337 IGNOAPS beneficiaries, 153 IGNWPS beneficiaries, 37 IGDPS beneficiaries in Champhai District. During the reporting period January-September 2021, IMR and MMR was recorded at 16.6 and 103.6 respectively. ART Centre and OST Centre witnessed 2080 and 1109 registration respectively. Under Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, 9 cases of Malaria have been detected with one casualty.

In addition to these, other Central Government Sponsored Schemes were discussed at length in the meeting.
