Chhingchhip, December 6, 2024: Sainik School Chhingchhip hosted its 8th Annual Day Celebration today, graced by the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lalduhoma, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Pu PC Vanlalruata, Minister and local representative, and Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga, MLA, among other dignitaries.

In his keynote address, the Chief Minister highlighted the close relationship his administration shares with the armed forces, stating:

"Our ministry is privileged to include individuals with distinguished military backgrounds. My adviser, Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga, is a retired Navy officer, and our MLA, Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga, is with us today. Moreover, Pu Richard, our MP, comes from an Airforce family, with his father, Pu Lalzawma, a retired Wing Commander. As a former IPS officer, I deeply value the connection we share with you, our servicemen. Your dedication inspires a sense of unity and pride among us."

He lauded Sainik School Chhingchhip for its contributions to nurturing disciplined, dedicated, and future-ready citizens, adding:
"This institution embodies teamwork, discipline, and excellence. I commend the tireless efforts of the principal, faculty, staff, cadets, parents, and the Local Board of Administration. My government remains committed to supporting such institutions that shape the future of our youth and bring honor to our state."

Lt. Col. Kartik Sood, the Principal of Sainik School Chhingchhip, presented the school report, sharing that the institution, established in 2017, is the 26th Sainik School in the country. It currently enrolls 388 students, including 52 girls, reflecting the school’s commitment to inclusive education.
