Chief Minister Mr. Zoramthanga today held a meeting of the Mizoram State Planning Board, of which he is the chairman, at CM's Conference Hall.

Today's meeting discussed the importance of having stringent monitoring and vigilance system with proper framework to ensure all project works undertaken are completed in time as well as to avoid duplicity of projects. The meeting suggests creation of a committee for the same. Since the appointment of the new members of the State Planning Board on August ni 8, 2019, the board had held meetings with several government departments assessing the progress of their respective works.

The Mizoram State Planning Board consists of eight members with the Chief Minister as chairman ang Mr. H. Rammawi as Vice-Chairman. Other members are the Chief Secretary, Finance Commissioner, Planning Secretary and three non-official members - Ex-Minister Mr. Liansuama, Mr. Lalthansanga (MFAS Rtd.) and Mr. N. Zokunga (MCS Rtd.).
