5th September, 2022: On the occasion of Teachers' Day 2022, Lawngtlai DC Pu Amol Srivastava visited Government Lawngtlai College today and wished the Principal along with other teachers present.
In order to give a tribute to the teaching fraternity and highlight the importance of teaching as a profession, DC decided to take one class for the first semester. More than 150 children from different courses were present. They all wished the teachers and pledge to respect teachers always.
The session was on the topic “Emotional Intelligence and its importance in Life”. DC urged the children to develop their emotional skills along with their intellectual skills to achieve success in life.
He highlighted the fact that young children are getting addicted to drugs and alcohol because they find it difficult to manage and control their emotions. It is important to have good emotional skills in order to maintain good relations with others, develop leadership skill and succeed in life.
The session was followed by a short Question & Answer session where students asked variety of doubts about life, career, motivation and success. The session ended with vote of thanks from the teachers present.
