DEO Lawngtlai publishes Draft Electoral Roll 2021

Lawngtlai, the 16th November, 2020: District Election Officer (DEO), Lawngtlai Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika published a draft electoral roll 2021 of three assembly constituencies within Lawngtlai District today at DC's Conference Hall and handed over the draft electoral rolls to representatives of the political parties.

As per the draft electoral roll, there are 32,403 voters (16,379 males and 16,024 females) in 36-Tuichawng (ST) Assembly Constituency (A/C), 27,038 voters (13,612 males and 13,426 females) in 37-Lawngtlai West (ST) A/C and 24,484 voters (11,844 males and 12,640 females) in 38-Lawngtlai East (ST) A/C. In total, there are 83,925 voters (41,835 males and 42,090 females) in Lawngtlai District.

Claims and objections regarding the draft roll can be filed upto 15th December, 2020. The qualifying date for the roll is 1st January, 2021. Final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on 20th January, 2021.
