Mamit 7th October, 2020 : Hands on Training and Distribution of Smart Classroom (K-YAN) Programme was held Yesterday at DC Conference Hall, Mamit with Dr. Lalrozama, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mamit as Chief Guest of the programme.

In his speech, Dr. Lalrozama stated that it is a pleasure to receive the much awaited 20 nos. of Smart Classroom (K-YAN) device for Middle School in Mamit District. It ensures an opportunity for students to learn, understand and perform better through an ingenious combination of technology and multimedia content relating to curriculum. With the help of this device, it became possible to provide an interactive learning environment in the schools which was only possible in the urban areas. This would not only help students to pass in the examination but will improve the learning outcome of the students. Further in his speech, he encouraged the teachers to grab as much information as possible during training with experts in order to utilise the device to the maximum. The performance and learning outcomes of these 20 Middle Schools will also pave ways for other schools in attaining Smart Classroom. He concluded his speech by thanking REC Ltd. for their continuous financial support through CSR Funding in the upliftment of the district in education and health. He also expressed his gratitude to Education Department and those who have worked for in accomplishing this Project.

Chairman, Pu Beitlotha Nohro, SDC stated that for improvement of education in the District, Smart Classroom (K-YAN) Project was proposed under REC Ltd. CSR Health Project. The project cost for procurement of 20 nos. of Smart Classroom (K-YAN) device is Rs. 49 lakh and this device combines all the hi-tech innovations – Computer, Projector, Large Screen TV, DVD Player, Audio system and more into one compact unit. It comes with pre-installed educational tools for teachers and students.

The program ended with vote of thanks from Pu Lalsailova, Addl. DPC, Education Dept. In his speech Pu Sailova said that he is witnessing improvement in the field of education in Mamit district and all these is possible due to the concern and vision of the DC and he expressed his gratitude to DC, Mamit for his dedication. Further, he wishes all the teachers to get the most out from this hands on training. He concluded the speech with expressing his appreciation towards REC Ltd. for their constant support.

The program was followed by hands on training of teachers from selected 20 middle schools in the District.
