District Task Force Immunisation, Lawngtlai held a meeting yesterday at DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai Pi Shashanka Ala, IAS.

The meeting was attended by medical officers of health centres within Lawngtlai District, block development officers and officials from Social Welfare Department and Health & Family Welfare Department. DTFI Chairman Pi Shashanka Ala welcomed the members and appraised them of the importance of covering all villages in the District for vaccination.

District Immunisation Officer Dr S. Thaizi gave a brief overview of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI). MOs of PHCs gave a report on coverage of Routine Immunisation (RI) under their jurisdiction. The meeting devised plans for maximum coverage of villages that are not covered in RI and BDOs were entrusted the task of making necessary arrangements for successful implementation of IMI in their respective blocks.
