A District Level Steering Committee on Students Police Cadet Programme has been held today at the Office Chamber of Deputy Commissioner, Mamit under the Chairmanship of Dr. Lalrozama, IAS, DLSC Chairman/ DC Mamit.

In the meeting a budget requirement of Rs 4,93,720/- was debated upon for the uniform, training and activities for 44 Cadets and 4 Cadets Officer which was approved by the Steering Committee Meeting and for consideration of State Nodal Officer for his approval. As mendated by the guidelines as SPC, the target students for the Cadet Police are class 8 and 9 students.

The Committee decided to go ahead with the previously selected students from Govt. Middle School II and Govt. Mamit High School with a number of students consisting of 22 Cadets each and 1 Cadet Police Officer and 1 Asst. Cadet Police Officer from each School who will function as 1 SPC Unit in Mamit District.

The Committee discussed and listed out indoor and outdoor activities to be taken up by the Cadets for their personality development and it also reiterated the activities dairy to be maintained by the CPO and ACPO who will inturn submit it to the SPC Liaison Officer who is also the OC of Mamit Police Station.

SPCP aims at all round development of the Cadets besides their performance in their academic and curricular activities.

The meeting was attended by Addl. SP, SDPO, DIPRO, DEO, OC Mamit Headmasters of the two School and CPO and ACPO from these School.
