Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for DoNER and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shri Paban Singh Ghatowar arrived in Aizawl today afternoon for a two day visit to the state. After his arrival at the state capital, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 400 bedded Lai Students’ Hostel and also visited the on-going Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. He is scheduled to have a meeting with the Chief Minister Shri Lal Thanhawla and senior officials of the state government this evening.
Union Minister Shri Pawan Singh Ghatowar is scheduled to visit Saiha, Lawngtlai and Chawngte, the headquarters of the three Autonomous District Councils in the southern part of the state, tomorrow. In Saiha, the headquarters of the Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), he will address a public meeting at the MADC Office. In Lawngtlai, the headquarters of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) he will address another public meeting and also lay the foundation stone for the Lawngtlai By Pass Road. In Chawngte (Kamla Nagar), the headquarters of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) he is expected to lay the foundation stone for the infrastructure development ofKamlaNagarCollegeand for the modernization ofKamlaNagarTownwhich will be followed by a public meeting. The Chief Minister Shri Lal Thanhawla is also expected to lay the foundation stone for the CADC Secretariat Office and the CADC Session Hall at Kamla Nagar.
On his way back to Aizawl tomorrow afternoon, the Union Minister will also visit Lunglei and lay the foundation stone of 132KV Transmission Line from Aizawl to Lunglei.
