Commerce & Industries Minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana yesterday chaired a meeting of Industrial Development Board at Secretariat Conference Hall, MINECO. Industrial Development Board Vice Chairman Pu C. Ramhluna, other Board Members, officials of Commerce & Industries Department and Geology, Mining and Mineral Resources Department attended the meeting.

Dr. R. Lalthangliana remarked that under the state flagship programme SEDP, Industrial Development Board constitutes an integral part of the programme and the success of the flagship programme depends a lot on the initiatives of the Board. He pointed that only sound proposals which are viable must be considered by the Board to ensure success stories that can make a visible impact industrial development, especially at the small and micro level. He also pointed that KVIC, Ministry of Textiles and other central agencies must be tapped for funds and technical expertise to augment industrial development in line with the ethos of SEDP.

The Board yesterday discussed various agendas and took a number of important decisions.
