Dated Siaha 2nd November 2023 : In the continuing process of ensuring a free and fair election for the coming General Election to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly, Supplementary Randomization and Commissioning of EVM and VVPAT was conducted in the presence of Shri P.S. Pradyumna (IAS) Election General Observer for both 39-Saiha (ST) A/C and 40-Palak (ST) A/C.

Today's Supplementary Randomization and Commissioning process was carried out in compliance with the the instructions of Election Commission of India to ensure free and fair election. Both the EVM and VVPAT were randomized by computer software applications. 23-Balloting Unit (BU), 6-Control Unit (CU) and 7- VVPAT were randomized for 39-Saiha (ST) Assembly Constitency. For 40-Palak (ST) Assembly Constitency 23- Balloting Unit (BU),12- Control Unit (CU) and 10- VVPAT were also randomized.The Commissioning of EVM and VVPAT was done with the help of Engineers from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL).

The District Election Officer, Returning Officer and Asst. Returning Officer for 39-Saiha (ST) A/C, Returning Officer and Asst. Returning Officer for 40-Palak (ST) A/C , Election Officer and representatives of political parties were also present at the Randomization and Commissioning exercises.
