Aizawl, the 2nd November, 2023: For the General Election to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly 2023, Home Voting process has been continued in various Districts for senior citizens (80 above) and PwD voters. At the same time, Polling Personnel, other Officials and essential services on duty are casting their votes through Postal Ballots. So far, 1,998 votes have been casted through Home Voting and 5,673 votes have been casted through Postal Ballots at designated Facilitation Centre, a total of 7,671 votes have been casted till 5:00 PM today.

Data received from different Districts could not be compiled properly due to the difference in the schedule of conducting Home Voting and Postal Ballot through Facilitation Centre in various Districts.

Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar along with two ECs Shri Anup Chandra Pandey and Shri Arun Goel held a Video Conference meeting with State Officials and Election Officials of 5 poll bound States (Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telengana) and 12 neighbouring States at 3:00 PM today. The Inter-State Border meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. Renu Sharma, IAS, State Officials and Election Officials, among others.
