Pu Sangdingliana, IAS, observer for the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll, 2020 for Serchhip, Lunglei and Mamit district visit Serchhip today.

A special meeting is organised at DC Meeting Hall for the observer where Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte, IAS, DEO, Pu Chuauhnuna, Dy. DEO, Pi C. Lalduhzuali, ERO, Pu Vanlalhmachhuana, Election Officer, staff from election branch, BLOs from Serchhip town and media members attend the meeting. In this meeting, Pu Sangdingliana, IAS said that observer’s visit is prepared in compliance with the routine of Election Commission of India and, ask them to inform all their problems and other abnormal things arise in their courses of revision. And also tell them that if the voters increasing rate is too high like 5% or more at once, one can say that there are something wrong embed in the revision, likewise if the increasing rate is too low or stagnate, some susceptible things might implant in our process of revision. That is why, every step of revision must be done in deliberate conduct to achieve acceptable output. Pu Vanlalhmachhuana, Election Officer give a report on the present status of roll revision, the anticipated rate of increase is 1.89 % till today.

Observer also give inspection to the election branch and other checklist after the meeting.
