Electoral Roll Observer for Champhai District  Pu Lalthangpuia Sailo, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, AH & Vety, DM&R visited and held meeting with the District Officials at DC’s Conference Hall today.    

The Meeting discussed at length regarding the ongoing process of Special Summary of Photo Electoral Roll 2020. According to the meeting, applications received for first time voter  through Form 6  was  3022,  2600 accepted and  422 rejected.  Inter-Assembly Constituency voter transfer applications received through Form 6  was  60,  54  accepted and  6 rejected.  Application through Form 7 (Deletion) was 289,   283 accepted and   6 rejected.  Application through Form 8 (Correction) was   299,  283  accepted and  15 rejected.  Through Form 8A, Intra-Assembly Constituency transfer or, Transposition applications received was 38 and all got accepted.  The previous year Draft Electoral Roll 2019 for  Undivided Champhai District   published on 16.2.2019 was recorded as  85363 Voters,   Net change since previous draft Roll is recorded as  2371  till today at an increase rate of  2.8 %. 

Complete disposal of all claims and objectives will be on  27th  January, 2020, preparation and updating of database and printing of Supplement to be completed by   4th February,  2020.  Final Publication of Electoral Roll is on   7th February, 2020.  The meeting was attended by Pu SL Naveen, IAS, District Election Officer (DEO) Champhai, District Election Officials and  Election Staffs.
