LUNGLEI: the 14th October,2023: Shri Chandan Datta IRS, an Expenditure Observer appointed for 3 Assembly Constituencies Viz: 30-Lunglei North (ST)A/C, 31-Lunglei East(ST) A/C and 35- Lunglei West (ST) A/C under Lunglei District, held a meeting at DRDO's Conference Hall, here in Lunglei, today with Nodal Officers and Team Leaders of those committees which were constituted to deal with various Expenditure incurred by political Parties and Candidates in the upcoming General Election to Mizoram Legislative Assembly) Viz:

1. Assistant Expenditure Observers
Team Leaders of :
1) Static Surveillance Team
2) Video Squad Team
3) Flying Squad Team
4) Video Viewing Team
5) Accounting Team

Speaking at the Occasion, Shri Chandan Datta stated that there is a ceiling for Expenditure owing to this some parties or candidates might try to shield their Expenditure as far as possible, and your duty is to not only monitor their Expenditure but also unearth their covert expenditure by keeping a strict vigil all the time.

He also urged them to make sure that there is a Free and Fair Election and  exhorted  them to be very sincere and diligent in their duties so that no laxity and faux Pas cropped up during  the Election.He also  implored them  to be thoroughly acquainted with handbook and manual provided by ECI and encouraged them to approach him for clearing their doubts and sharing their problems if they encountered  any in the course of discharging  their duties, he quipped.
