Aizawl DC Pu Vanlalngaihsaka inaugurated a two day Faculty Development Programme on Assessing the Education Policy Environment: Implications for Pre-Service and In-Service Teachers organised by Centre for Professional Development of Teacher Educators, School of Education, NEHU in collaboration with Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) at the IASE Campus, Aizawl.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Aizawl DC Pu Vanlalngaihsaka expressed his appreciation to the organisers for putting in hard work and dedication to organise a comprehensive faculty development programme for teachers on Education Policy. He said that education policy formulated at the state and central level determines the quality of education in a country or segment of the country which in turn plays a vital role in shaping the wisdom and well being of mankind in a positive direction. “A well set education policy implemented with a sincere sense of dedication, hard work and far-sightedness is the source of producing citizens fit to carry on the society worth living in”, he added.

At the inaugural programme chaired by Prof.Vanlalhruaii, Principal, IASE, Prof. M.U.Alam, Head, Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension, University of North Bengal presented the theme of the event while IASE’s Dr. Donna Lalnunfeli highlighted the achievement and brief history of the institution.

Participants from District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) of all Districts, representatives from MZU, SCERT, MBSE, IASE and School Education Department, Mizoram attended the programme.
