Minister for Environment Forest and Climate Change Department Pu TJ Lalnuntluanga, and officers from line departments today visited proposed site for construction of Botanical Garden at the old site of Zotlang Village under Champhai District.
Botanical Garden planned to provide tourist destination and study centre, will be a collection centre for most of the flora of the state keeping in mind its conservation and availability to the public at the door step. Today's visit mainly focuss on the site selection and related requirements, keeping in mind the future prospects and convenience, the visiting team decided to have final call on the exact location after another round of deliberation between government and the residents.
Minister was accompanied by Pu Lalnunfela Chawngthu, SDO Sadar; Pu Lalduhthlana, DFO Champhai; Dr Lallawmkima, DIPRO; Er J.Kapkima EE, PHE; Er Thangchhuana Pautu, Sr. SDO PWD and Department Officials, among other.
