Aizawl, the 10th November 2023: Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati graced the graduation ceremony of Geriatric Caregivers of Mission Foundation Movement, Durtlang as the Chief Guest at the MFM Villa, Durtlang, today. In this function, the first batch of 25 graduates who had done 3 months of courses were handed certificates.

In his address, the Governor lauded the important initiatives currently being undertaken by the MFM, Durtlang for enhancing the youth of Mizoram with useful skills required in the sectors that offer jobs. He congratulated the first batch of 25 young people, who upon completing 3 three-month courses of Geriatric Care giving received their professional certificates today. He also spoke about the sure chances of getting a good salaried job in the healthcare services sector that include geriatric caregiving within the country and abroad as many developed countries have a huge old age population. On this occasion, he reiterated the importance of taking up professional courses as it promises a higher chance of getting employed outside the governmental sector that cannot accommodate the ever-growing number of graduates every year. On this note, he once again advised the youth of Mizoram to be motivated and aim for jobs outside the state.

The program commenced with a felicitation segment by Pu R.Vanlalzauva, Director, MFM, followed by a welcome speech from Pu Lalthangmawia, Chairman, MFM. On behalf of the institution, Pu Lalramchhuanzela, Exec Director, MFM reported on the Project Journey of the MFM. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Pi Christina Zothanpuii, Principal, MFM School of Nursing.
