Healthy Mizoram Campaign, organized by the Assam Rifles, was concluded today at a grand ceremony held at AR Ground, Aizawl.

Gracing the programme as Chief Guest, Lt.Gen AK Mishra (Rtd.) who is the Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University, lauded the efforts of the Assam Rifles towards promoting healthy lifestyle especially in remote border areas of the state which are devoid of basic medical facilities.

Healthy Mizoram Campaign was launched by the then Governor of Mizoram, Lt. Gen. Nirbhay Sharma, PVSM, UYSM,AVSM, VSM (Rtd.) on June 21st , 2017 which coincides with International Yoga Day. It aims to promote natural, healthy and disease free lifestyle through exercise and naturopathy among the general masses. More than ten thousand persons have benefitted from the state-wide campaign under which Assam Rifles has conducted several health seminars, medical camps, blood donation camps, AIDS and drugs awareness campaign and other health related events.

Mr Ram Gopal Dixit, an expert in Naturopathy & Neurotherapy and a consultant posted at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi also attended the closing ceremony along with army personnel, NGOSs, students and representatives from government departments.
