Home Department notifies instructions for extension of last date tranfer of surplus firearms

Aizawl, the 1st May 2023: Home Department, in continuation of their Department's Notification of even number dt. 7.4.2021, decided to extend the last date for transfer of surplus firearms to eligible family members up to 31.05.2023 to give one final opportunity to possessing such surplus firearms.

After the expiry of the last date, the concerned District Magistrates are authorized to confiscate and cancel such firearms including its license without the requirement for further instructions from Home Department.
