The Home Minister of Mizoram Pu Lalchamliana today graced a ‘Seminar on Mizo Nationalism and Salute the Heroes’ organized by Kolasib Mizo Students Union at Kolasib Diakkawn YMA Hall. FCS&CA Minister Pu K.Lalrinliana was also in attendance as a Guest of Honor for the event.

At the outset, the Home Minister commended the Kolasib Mizo Students Union for taking the initiative to organize a seminar on a subject of great importance and significance for the people of Mizoram. Emphasizing on the importance of staying rooted to our Mizo culture, values and traditions, he reminded the gathering to always remember the struggles and sacrifices made by our forefathers in our journey towards development. He also exhorted upon the students to work hard, aim high and look beyond Mizoram for job opportunities, especially in the prestigious All India Services and other Central Government jobs. Reminding the students that they are ‘the future leaders of Mizoram’ he called upon them to be courageous, honest and diligent in whichever profession they choose to take up later on in life. He also reminded them to be always guided by the core Mizo values of ‘tlawmngaihna’ and ‘taimakna’.
