Siaha; the 9th November,2020: An important meeting, to deliberate upon measures to be taken to prevent and contain the spread of Covid-19 was held at DRDA Conference Hall,here in Siaha,today.
Shri.Kesanvan R,IAS Deputy Commissioner, Siaha district presided over the meeting; and it was well attended by Head of Offices, leaders of VCs,NGOs, sector officers and prominent citizens of Siaha district.
In today's meeting, how various preventives and containment measures on Covid-19 were implimented till date, including that of "No Tolerance Forthnight" drives were reviewed and deliberated upon any suggestions thereof; for further improvements of the various steps to be taken towards combating covid-19 ordeals in days to come.
The meeting is of the opinion that the best measure to prevent and contain the spread of Covid-19, is to abolish the practice of Home Quarantine and to activate govt's quarantine facilities again; to quarantine newly arrived individuals from Aizawl or outside Mizoram state for 14days.
However, the feasibilities of re-activating Govt's quarantine facilities will be first studied thoroughly by officials of DC's office by keeping in mind man power and financial requirements, its conformity with MHA's guidelines.etc and its various ramifications in its entirety, then District magistrate will issue order accordingly.
Shri.Kesavan expressed his profound gratitudes to the meeting members and requested them not to give in to Covid-19 onslaughts any day. He also implored the meeting members "to fight Covid19 crisis
with unfaltering resilient and Prayers."
