Lawngtlai, 10 June 2026 : As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, the District Election Officer (DEO), Shri Donny Lalruatsanga, convened a review meeting with three Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from the outskirts of Lawngtlai Town at the DC's Office Chamber at 3:00 PM today.

During the meeting, the DEO appreciated the dedication and commendable efforts of the BLOs in carrying out SIR 2026 activities. He, however, pointed out that there is still scope for improvement in the collection of Enumeration Forms and in the digitization process. In this regard, the BLOs of Saizawh East, Kakichhuah and Runkual were urged to intensify their efforts and work with greater commitment.

He also stressed the need to strengthen Electors Mapping activities and encouraged the BLOs to continue working diligently. Emphasizing the importance attached to SIR 2026 by the Election Commission of India (ECI), he stated that it is essential to carry forward the revision exercise in line with the Commission’s expectations and urged the BLOs to discharge their responsibilities efficiently and sincerely.

The review meeting was attended by the Election Officer, Lawngtlai; the Block Development Officer (BDO), RD Block Lawngtlai, who is also the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO); and the three BLOs from the town outskirts. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the DEO, Donny Lalruatsanga.
