Lawngtlai, the 4th May, 2020: Lawngtlai District Level Task Force on COVID-19 held a meeting today at the DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pi Shashanka Ala, IAS. Nodal officers, zonal officers and representatives of various district level associations also attended the meeting.
Pi Shashanka Ala explained the guidelines made by the state government to be followed within Mizoram during lockdown third phase from 4th May to 17th May, 2020. It was discussed in the meeting how to implement these guidelines within Lawngtlai District and better prevent COVID-19 from entering the district.
Though there are certain relaxations during this lockdown third phase, guidelines and ordinance issued by the government will be strictly followed and offenders will be fined accordingly.
Certain orders and public notices were issued from District Administration regarding the lockdown third phase and all concerned parties were briefed on the matters.
The DLTF urged the residents of Lawngtlai District to follow the guidelines and continue to maintain personal hygiene, social distancing and to use masks outside. Assembly of more than 5 persons at a time at public places and movement between 7 pm in the evening and 4 am in the morning is prohibited.
