Lunglei District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was convened yesterday to review and monitor the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) for 2019-2020 and 2020-21. The meeting was conducted via Video Conferencing under the Chairmanship of DISHA Chairman Pu C. Lalrosanga, MP Lok Sabha and Co-Chairman Pu K.Vanlalvena MP, Rajya Sabha.  

Pu V. Lalsangliana, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei, Pu K. Lalrohlua Project Director DRDA and concerned Line Department officials attended the meeting from Lunglei DC Conference Hall.

The meeting discussed at length various Central Government schemes presently being implemented in the district by the Line Departments.

Under the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), an amount of Rs.8115.83 lakhs was credited to the bank account of Job Card Holders under MGNREGS during FY 2019-2020. Employment of 100 days was provided in all the four Blocks under the District - Bunghmun, Hnahthial, Lunglei and Lungsen during this same time period. Expenditure of Rs. 9807.57 lakhs was incurred under MGNREGS during this time period. For the current financial year, employment of 87 days have been provided with Rs. 6848.03 lakhs already credited into the accounts of job card holders with total expenditure amounting to Rs. 7639.64 lakhs. Of a total of 38152 job cards in the District, 35,936 have been Aadhar seeded in MIS (94.19%) with 11,033 being linked with bank accounts. Under PMAY-G allocation had been made for 343 beneficiaries in 2019-2020 and 1229 beneficiaries in 2020-21.

Under the Social Welfare Department, it was reported that there are 3925 IGNOAPS beneficiaries, 303 IGNWPS beneficiaries and 106 IGDPS beneficiaries in the District.

Under the Samagra Siksha, there are a total of 26,008 beneficiaries enrolled in 538 schools (315 P/S and 223 M/S) .

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) 799 IHHLs were repaired in FY 2019-20, 249 newly constructed and 30 CSC constructed in as many villages. 1270 IHHLs have been constructed till October 2020 in the current financial year.

Of the 64 PMGSY projects implemented in the state, 14 have been completed with 50 projects ongoing as reported by the SE, PWD.

Apart from these, other Central Government schemes were discussed in the meeting.
