National Deworming Day (NDD) has been celebrated in Mamit at the school premises of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) with the presence of Dr. Lalrozama, IAS Dy. Commissioner Mamit as the chief guest of the occassion to fight against the menace of this creature.

The students of JNV and their teachers were all given the dose of albendazole the medicine to erase the worms in the internal system of the individual. The programe was addressed by Sr. SMO of the district by using a powerpoint presentation regarding the menace of this worms and certain measures to prevent the spread of this worm.
