Aizawl the 30th May, 2024: No.K.12012/2/2021-MBSE (Acad)/163: It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the eligibility criteria for the Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET), 2024 has been revised as per the Office Order vide No. A.33024/37/2018-DTE (SCERT) dt. 14" May, 2024 issued by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Mizoram, in compliance with the Supreme Court judgments dated 11th August, 2023 and 28th November, 2023 on NCTE guidelines.
Candidates possessing Graduation with B.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education) and Post-Graduation with three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. qualifications are no longer eligible to appear for MTET Paper I (Primary School Teacher) and candidates possessing 18 Months' Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed) conducted by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are no longer eligible to appear for MTET 2024 examination.
Candidates who have already applied for MTET 2024 and are affected by the revised eligibility criteria will be refunded their application fees.
