A “Medical cum Blood Donation Camp” was organised by Project Pushpak (BRO) at Pushpak Primary School Falkland in the services of people of Mizoram today.
The occasion was graced by Hon’ble Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana. Chief Engineer Project Pushpak Shri MANV Prasad delivered an inaugural speech relating to the various welfare activities including today’s Medical cum Blood donation camp undertaken by Project Pushpak in addition to road construction works.
During his address Dr. R. Lalthangliana expressed his happiness on the medical camp being organized by Project Pushpak for the welfare of the local populace. He informed the gathering about the opening of the world class Cancer Hospital at Zemabawk. He stressed about joining hands of all medical facilities in the locality like RIPANS for healthier Mizoram and assured all help and support for all types of medical need from the health department.
A team from Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Aizawl participated in the blood donation campaign and approximately 65 units of blood was donated by BRO personnel, local villagers and volunteers from CNES Pvt. Ltd, Falkland.
A medical team from RIPANS and CMO(East), Aizawl along with BRO doctors extended medical treatment for approximately 500 persons including local civilians for various ailments like Diabetes, Hypertension, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Eye and Dental problems. Various laboratory investigations were done and medicines were given to all patients free of cost. Health related lectures were also delivered by various BRO Doctors.
Chief Engineer Project Pushpak Shri MANV Prasad hailed the event as a major success and a big step towards cementing relations with local people of Mizoram.
