A meeting was held today at the office chamber of Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Minister Shri Nihar Kanti Chakma to discuss about the utilization of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The meeting was attended by DM&R officials, representative of Aizawl DC, Lunglei DC, 1st MAP and 2nd MAP Commandants.
The meeting agreed to strengthen Village Level Disaster Management Committees and to hold a conference in this regard for Village Councils and leaders of Young Mizo Association. The meeting also discussed about payment of relief funds and ex-gratia to the disaster victims
