Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Minister for Health & family Welfare department made surprise visit to Aizawl Civil Hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD) on Saturday to learn about the quality of services being extended to the patients as per recent guidelines issued.

After interacting with the Hospital doctors and staff on duty, and outpatients Minister expressed his  delight at how the hospital diligently followed the new guidelines which mandated all OPDs at government-run Hospitals to be open on all Saturdays except on every second Saturdays of the month.

The Minister also visited all the sections of Aizawl Civil Hospital Blood Bank and praised the Blood bank staff for their dedication and hard work despite shortage in personnel. He also said that steps are being taken to improve and address shortage of staff and other problems faced by the department.
