The Mizoram Legislative Assembly Speaker Pu Lalrinliana Sailo, made a maiden visit to Lunglei District this week to attend State Level Seminar ‘Lalzova leh F.Rokima Sulhnu Zirhona’ organized by the Mizo Academy of Letters (MAL) Jt. Hqrs Lunglei on 31^st October, 2019. He was received at the Lunglei Circuit House by Lunglei District functionaries including Lunglei HPC Vice Chairman Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng, DC Pi K. Lalrinzuali, SP Pu C.Lalthanmawia and Lunglei District Head of Offices.

After a brief interaction with officials at Circuit House, the Speaker along with his team proceeded to the Lunglei High Powered Committee office where he had a meeting with HPC members and officials, to discuss ongoing works and further plans for development of the District. Apart from the Vice Chairman, Lunglei HPC member-te Pu C. Thanseia, Pu C. Lalchhuana, Pu F. Lalsawmkima, Pu H. Lalthansanga, Pu F. Lalzarmawia and Pu Robert Hmingthansanga were present at this meeting. Speaking at length about his vision for development of the state as a whole, the Speaker stressed on the opportunities available to the State due to its unique geographical location. Various factors such as high literacy, peaceful atmosphere and physical proximity to Myanmar and Bangladesh offer great opportunities to the State, he added.

The Speaker then attended State Level Seminar ‘Lalzova leh F.Rokima Sulhnu Zirhona’ , a programme to study and honour the works of two prominent Mizo poets organized by the Mizo Academy of Letters (MAL) Jt. Hqrs Lunglei.
