Aizawl, 14th October 2020 :  A meeting of the Mizoram State Cooperatiove Union (MSCU) Board of Directors was convened today at the Registrar of Cooperative Societies Meeting Room chaired by the Board President Pu K.Lalchamreia.

MSCU Board of Directors in today’s meeting decided against holding any extravagant celebration of the All India Cooperative Week this year due to the pandemic Covid-19. The Cooperative Week, which is observed pan-India every year between 14-20 November, 2020 will have ‘Self-Sufficient India through Cooperatives’ as its theme this year. In Mizoram, the MSCU Board decided to spread awareness about the benefits of Cooperative through various media and display of banners at strategic locations.

The Board of Directors also considered the application submitted by the Chawlhhmun Local Council for use of the Junior Cooperative Training Centre building at Chawlhhmun for CCC, and the Board Members straightaway went to survey the venue after the meeting. The Board of Directors also agreed to hold the inauguration of the new MSCU Building at Dawrpui Veng, Aizawl at the earliest; the new building will be completed at the cost of Rs.174.498 lakhs.
