The assistance under the flagship programme of the Government - New Land Use Policy (NLUP) continues to reach the beneficiaries. Yesterday 393 families spread over 7 localities under the Aizawl South I Assemby Constituency received the 2nd Installment of NLUP assistance under the Industries Sector amounting to Rs,2,08,07,600/- at a function at the Central Hall Venghlui. The function was presided over by the Chairman of the NLUP Implementing Board Pu R Selthuama.

Speaking about NLUP, Pu Selthuama said that the main aim of the flagship programme was to provide sustainable means of livelihood, thereby eradicating poverty. He called upon the beneficiaries to use the money received in the right earnest and said it was now their duty to make NLUP a success.

87 families spread over 5 localities under Aizawl West I Assembly Constituency also received the 2nd Installment of NLUP assistance under the Industries Sector amounting to Rs. 43,53,200/- yesterday
