Today a grand Festival incorporating Fair Cum Exhibition of New Land Use Policy which is the Flagship programme of Government of  Mizoram was inaugurated by Pu J.H Rothuama Chairman of the NLUP Implementing Board at Chhimveng YMA hall Mamit with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Mamit Bazer shed where different stalls of the NLUP Line department displaying various items and products of ther concern are made available at a discount price extending upto 20% subsidy. 

The Chief guest Pu JH Rothuama welcome all the participants of the festival especially the line department inspite of all the weather hurdles and constraints. The move of NLUP is for making the state self sufficient and reduction of jhum cultivation. He also mention that the state of mizoram is one of the fastest growing state in the country in terms of per capita income and GSDP which are successful outcome of the policy. 

NIB Secretary Pu James Lalrinchhana who is accompannying the chairman had also spoke about the administrative set up of the NLUP Implementing Board and made it very clear to the audience about the importance of sincerity and the possibility of contributing to the growth of economy of the state by this policy.

This festival is packed with 27 stalls from different departments exhibiting and fairing their products.

The Inaugural function of the Festival was chaired by Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS Deputy Commissioner of Mamit District who conveyed his warm greetings to all participants.
