Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was observed today at AR Ground, Aizawl. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tawnluia graced the event as Chief Guest. Chief Secretary Shri Lalnunmawia Chuaungo administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge taking ceremony.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) celebration started early in the morning with a ‘Unity Run’ from Sikulpuikawn and Chanmari, flagged off by the Commissioner and Secretaries of School Education and Higher  & Technical Departments respectively. About 500 students participated in this run to permeate national unity.

Nine Contingents participated in the March Past, Assam Riffles Band Party performed the National Anthem.
