Aizawl,the 31st May 2022: As intimated, the senior officials of Rural Development Department apprised Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan on the progress of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) in Mizoram.

Pu R.Zarzosanga, Secretary,RD and Pu Zoremathara Ralte, DS, RD gave PowerPoint presentation of the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) in Mizoram.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati appreciated the effort made by the state government in achieving the target set under PMAY-G despite the hurdles caused by the Pandemic. He was very pleased to know that there is no issue of availability of house sites for executive of the scheme in Mizoram. He urged the RD officials to continue to try harder to finish their set target in a stipulated time frame. He also insisted that the Rural Development Department as a nodal department should try to piece together all the amenities required in all PMAY-G funded houses through convergence from other schemes/departments, by the time a construction of house is completed.
