Dated: Aizawl, the 21^st August, 2026:  WHEREAS, pursuant to Notification No.B.14015/1/2026-SEC/LC/AMC/LMC/6, dated: 22.07.2026 issued by State Election Commission, Mizoram under Rule 3 & 37 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015, By-Election to I/1 – Selesih, I/3 – Durtlang, X/2 – Zotlang, XI/1 – Luangmual, XIII/1 – Dawrpui Vengthar, XV/1 – Bungkawn, XVII/2 – Republic and XVIII/4 – Salem Veng Local Councils under Aizawl Municipality and I/2 – Zotlang Local Council under Lunglei Municipality was held on 20th August, 2026 (Thursday) to fill casual vacancies;

AND WHEREAS, the results of the said By-Election to Local Councils within Aizawl Municipality and Lunglei Municipality have been declared by the Returning Officers concerned;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-rule (3) of Rule 77 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby notifies the names of the elected candidates in respect of the said Local Councils, along with their party affiliation, in the SCHEDULE enclosed to this Notification.
