Champhai, the 4th April, 2014: The Second Randomization of Polling Personnels for the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 in Champhai District was held today at 2:00 PM in the presence of Dr. Nipun Vinayak, IAS, General Observer for 1-Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency at the NIC Conference Hall, Keifangtlang, Champhai.

During the Second Randomization of Polling Personnels, the polling officials selected during the first randomization through computerized means were randomised into various teams and  assigned their duties in three Assembly Segments of Champhai District; 23-Champhai North AC, 24-Champhai South AC, and 25-East Tuipui AC.

Champhai District has a total of 84 polling stations, with 9 designated as Pink Polling Stations where only female staff will be deployed. The selection of personnels for Pink Polling Stations will be done manually due to special considerations. As a result, the Second Randomization of Polling Personnels involved 75 polling stations, with a total of 98 Presiding Officers, 98 Assistant Presiding Officers and 197 Polling Officers.

Following the completion of the Second Randomization of Polling Personnels, General Observer Dr. Vipun Vinayak inspected EVM/VVPAT strong rooms, proposed counting centres, despatch and receive centres.
