A meeting on Serchhip District Level Authority on The Mizoram Government Pooling and Management Scheme is organised today at DC Meeting Hall under the chairmanship of Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte, IAS, DC and Chairman of the said authority committee.

Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte give a brief statement on origins and objectives of the scheme and said that whereas some department has a large plot of land beyond their need yet some department doesn’t get even a small plot under a extreme demand. In order to obtain better management and proper utilisation of those government land by different department, the scheme is introduced and formed state level and district level authority for implementation. Ha also said that today meeting is the first meeting for Serchhip district authority and all head of offices are members.

Mrs C. Lalduhzuali, Member Secretary and Sub divisional Officer, Serchhip sadaar also give a brief terms of reference of district authority in this meeting. She said that maintaining the list of all government lands, building and other fixed assets and organise a periodical review is one of the main function of it. Also mentioned that as many as 53 department Pass are already collect from district Land Revenue Offic e till today.

All offices are expected to submit their land records on or before 31 March, 2020.
