Social Welfare Department Minister Dr K Beichhua along with K Liantlinga, Vice Chairman, Social Rehabilitation Board, Ankita Chakravarty, Director, Social Welfare Department, Vanlalpianpuii, Director, Women & Child Development Department, A Vanlalzawni, Joint Director, several board members and officials from the department visited Jordan Centre at Sethawn, conducting the final survey and inspecting some of the on-going works.

The team inspected over 30 buildings which need to be renovated, plans for the construction of 3 new buildings, approached road, water tanky and allocation of areas for various sports activities was carried out today. The whole area covers about 7 Hectare which will able to housed over one thousand individuals. The Minister mentioned that it will be an important centre, not only for De-addiction and Rehabilitation but also for Skill Development, where training will be offered on the line of Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Sericulture etc.
