Aizawl, the 6^th March 2025: Speaker Pu Lalbiakzama, Mizoram Legislative Assembly graced the 5^th Annual Conference of ASM (ASMCON) along with 19^th Conference of North East Chapter of Indian Association of Paediatrics Surgeon (NEIAPSCON) held on 6&7 of March 2025 at Aijal Club, Aizawl as the Chief Guest. 

In his inaugural address, the Speaker acknowledged the Paediatrics Surgeons of their invaluable services and also of the profound privilege that comes with the noble profession of surgery, a calling that allows us to not only heal bodies but also touch lives in the most profound ways. He then elaborated on how beyond technical expertise, the true essence of a doctor lies in the unwavering commitment to ethical practice, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand the individual needs of each patient. 

He urged them to embrace lifelong learning, to be pioneers in their field, and to never lose sight of the human element in healthcare. And, he also encouraged them to be the change they wish to see in the world, and use their knowledge to not only cure diseases but to prevent them.
