ṬHIAN DUH TAKTE,

Vawiina lo pung khawmte leh Lunglei District mipui zawng zawngte, Republic Day vawi 77-na chibai ka buk che u a. Kum thar 2026 duhsakna sang ber ka hlan bawk a che u.

Today, as we celebrate the 77th Republic Day of India, we reaffirm our collective faith in the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution. This solemn occasion reminds us that governance is not merely about administration, but about service, inclusion and dignity for every citizen.

Mizoram is blessed with a rich cultural heritage that values community living, mutual respect and collective responsibility. These values resonate deeply with the spirit of our Constitution. From grassroots democracy to community participation, the people of Lunglei continue to uphold unity in diversity and inclusive growth.

As we enter 2026, evolving regional and global developments highlight the crucial role of our security forces. I place on record our deep appreciation for the 92 Battalion Border Security Force, 152 Bn BSF and 20 Assam Rifles, whose personnel stand as sentinels of our nation’s security. Through unwavering border vigilance, successful operations against arms, narcotics and contraband, and sustained civic action programmes, they have contributed immensely to peace, stability and national integration in Lunglei District.

At the district level, the Lunglei District Police, 2nd Bn Mizoram Armed Police, and Excise & Narcotics Department have worked relentlessly to maintain law and order and combat social evils. I also acknowledge the vital role of churches, NGOs, civil society and the public—who extended humanitarian support to refugees, while cooperating with the administration in addressing challenges associated with such influxes and social evils, thereby upholding peace, compassion and the rule of law.
