Stranded People of Champhai district from Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Andra Pradesh reached Champhai yesterday. They were received at the designated Staging Area, Vanlallawma Indoor Stadium (VANIS), Kahrawt by Deputy Commissioner Pu Mark Lalthanliana, SP Pu Rex Zarzoliana, Officials, Medical Team and Security Personnels.
There were 14 Rapid Test Reactive results (Karnataka 11, Gujarat 2 and Madhya Pradesh 1) Sample collected were send to ZMC for RT-PCR Test, the reactive persons were shifted to Covid Care Centre, Nursing School Building, District Hospital Complex.
The stranded people returned from Karnataka were 91 along with 1 from Bihar, 35 males are being quarantined at PCI Vengthlang Kohhran Chhanchhuahna In Community Quarantine Centre, 40 females and 2 males are being quarantined at Tourist Lodge Quarantine Centre while 3 males at BM P/S Community Quarantine Centre, Zion Veng.
22 people arrived from Gujarat, 4 males are being quarantined at PCI Hmunhmeltha Hunthar Kohhran Hall Community Quarantine Centre while 14 females are being quarantined at PCI Hospital Veng Kohhran Hall Community Quarantine Centre. 1 male and 1 female are being quarantined at PCI Vengsang Kohhran Hall Community Quarantine Centre. Among 18 returnees from Madhya Pradesh, 3 males and 14 females are being quarantined at PCI Vengsang Kohhran Hall Community Quarantine Centre. Also yesterday, 4 people returned from Andra Pradesh, and shifted 2 males at PCI Hmunhmeltha Hunthar Kohhran Hall Community Quarantine Centre and 2 females at DPRC Quarantine Centre, Keifangtlang.
