Kolasib 9th November 2020: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Minister Mr. K.Lalrinliana today chaired the first meeting of Kolasib District Parking House Committee, set up to select beneficiaries under the Mizoram Government Parking House Support Scheme (PAHOSS) within Kolasib town which will altogether accomodate parking for 300 vehicles.

The meeting decided to entertain applications from 16th November, 2020 till 15th January, 2020. The applications will then will be scrutinized and spots verified by dedicated verification team, which will include Village Council Presidents of their respective localities.

Mr. Gaston Vanlalhriatpuia, District Urban Development Officer pointed out that applicants for the scheme must have adequate space to accommodate 5 LMVs or 30 two-wheelers, as per the space provision specified under the scheme. For each LMV or 6 two-wheelers, a sum of Rupees 1 lakh will be given in 3 installments for the construction of the parking house, which must be used for public commercial parking for a minimum of 10 years.
