Aizawl 30.10.2021: The 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' that symbolises India's victory over Pakistan in 1971 War reached Mizoram today. It was ushered by contingent of Assam Rifles from Vairangte to Assam Rifles Stadium at Aizawl, where a ceremonial function was held with Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga as chief guest alongwith Brigadier Digvijay Singh, SM,DIG HQ 23 Sector.

The grand event was witnessed by troops of Assam Rifles, 1971 War Veterans, tps from 457 Field Hospital(57 Mountain Division), Veer Naaris and NCC Cadets. The celebrations included performance by Pipe Band of Assam Rifles, Dance performance by Local Troupe & presentation of souvenirs to war veterans and Veer Naaris for their contribution and selfless service for the greater glory of the nation.

In another event on the occasion, The Jazz Band of Assam Rifles performed Patriotic tunes at Aizawl Government College.

The victory flame was also accompanied by bikers club and other participants while en-route to Aizawl.
